Western red cedar siding can be used in a wide range of architectural design projects ranging from traditional to contemporary styles. Proper finishing and installation adds to its natural longevity.

Moisture management
We recommend a rainscreen layer or drainable house wrap (such as Slicker® Classic from Benjamin Obdyke) be applied to exterior walls prior to installation to facilitate drainage and drying of any moisture on the backside of the siding.

Elite solid bevel siding
A consistent and superior quality of Western red cedar, Elite solid bevel siding is available in 3 grades:
- Clear VG (graded for the smooth face)
- AYE (graded for the smooth face)
- AYE TEX (graded for the rough face)
Elite clear finger joint bevel siding
Available in 4 grades:
- Clear VG (graded for the smooth face)
- Clear VG TEX (graded for the resawn face)
- AYE (graded for the smooth face)
- AYE TEX (graded for the rough face)
Color Availability
Prefinished color options
Elite Western red cedar is available in a wide variety of standard and custom color options. Elite has you covered with a great assortment of the most popular, on-trend exterior siding colors—all backed by a 15-year limited finish warranty.
14 standard solid colors
Fifteen standard solid colors are available with primer plus one coat. These colors are finished upon order. All prefinished color orders are coated with PPG machine applied coatings. (pre-primed front & back / finish coat to front face only).

Select one of our standard colors or provide a custom color you’re trying to match. Samples may be requested for your review before final approval and written sign off. Field touch up of all cuts and nail holes is required.
Note:
- Custom stain prefinishing (Weathering Stain, Maximum Cedartone, or Semi-Transparent Stain) is not available for this product.
- 14 finish-to-order colors are available with primer plus one coat or primer plus two coats.
- Custom colors are available upon request.
- Finish is backed by a 15-year limited finish warranty.
